6. Shawn Spears Stealing Wardlow’s Moment

Sunday was a busy evening for big Wardlow.

MJF's bodyguard won the ‘Face Of The Revolution’ ladder match, held that cheesy big brass ring aloft and then reappeared later to screw his so-called leader out of a 'Dog Collar' bout vs. CM Punk. He placed the diamond ring on the canvas for Punk to use, and the announcers sold that as a momentous moment in the story.

No doubt Friedman will chew Wardlow out for getting the wrong pocket when he was looking for the ring. He'll also mock-congratulate his muscle on winning the ladder bout, then announce that Shawn Spears is getting the TNT Title shot instead. That'll be enough to tip his war dog over the edge.

Wardlow doesn't need to be challenging for titles right now anyway. His focus should be firmly on putting Spears in his place, and eventually tearing MJF's limbs off on pay-per-view. That should be an easy match for AEW to set up now.
