10 New Directions For WWE After Day 1

1. Champion Vs. Champion

Roman Reigns Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania 38

Don't think for one second that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are done waging war. WWE won't give up on the match they centred Day 1 around easily; when Reigns returns from isolation, he'll definitely have something to say about Lesnar winning the WWE Title on 1 January.

This does set up some intriguing possibilities for WrestleMania 38.

WWE can have Brock enjoy a short run as champ before dropping the strap and going after Reigns' Universal belt again. Or, they could piece together some sort of 'Champion vs. Champion' scenario in Texas. That seems like the most probable plan, and the kind that'd make McMahon's nipples spin.

The only problem there is that it limits the number of World Title matches at 'Mania...unless Roman and Brock are tasked with defending against separate challengers on the first night. Who knows? At least WWE have options.
