10 New Raw Matches Made Possible By WWE's Superstar Shakeup
6. Dolph Ziggler Vs. Braun Strowman
After reading that subheading, some wrestling fans are likely throwing their hands up in the air and shouting out the nearest window for others to "come see this idiot advocating a Ziggler vs. Strowman" match. Bear with it, because there's a story WWE can tell here to set it up.
The air of Shawn Michaels/Diesel between Dolph/Drew McIntyre should be clear to anyone who followed wrestling in the early-to-mid-90s. The workhorse loudmouth who's flanked by a smouldering big handsome destroyer combo is age-old, and it's why Ziggler vs. Braun would work as a lead-in to McIntyre vs. Strowman at a later date.
Dolph would make Strowman look majestic by flying around the ring for him. He'd only get his licks in when Drew struck behind the referee's back too, thus protecting Braun and enabling matches between he and Ziggler to be more than rudimentary squashes.
Or, y'know, WWE could keep teaming Braun with children.
