10 New SmackDown Matches Made Possible By WWE’s Superstar Shakeup

7. Big Cass Vs. Randy Orton

WWE should not think for a second that putting Big Cass in the ring with Daniel Bryan will yield stellar results straight away. The warts and all performances of Big Cass last summer won't magically disappear just because of Daniel's excellence.

A better idea is giving Cass a slower, more methodical worker who can give the big guy some in-ring confidence without overwhelming him.

There's nobody more dependable in that field than Randy Orton. Bryan is a better worker than Orton overall, and yet Randy's more measured ring style sounds like a better fit for the way Big Cass marches around the ring.

He's more in-step with Orton's own signature move style and slower movement. At least for now, Cass needs his morale - surely damaged after an awful heel run on Raw - increased. Throwing him in there with a hell-for-leather Bryan might be too much, too fast.
