10 NXT Stars WWE Let Slip Right Through Their Fingers
8. Raquel Diaz
It was arguably NXT's loaded women's division that helped put the developmental brand on the map in 2013. As the cornerstones of the division, Paige, Emma, Summer Rae and Sasha Banks brought women's wrestling back to the forefront of the company through their phenomenal performances each week.
Also a part of that women's revolution in NXT for a time in 2012 was Shaul Guerrero, the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero. She debuted on the brand that summer under the name of Raquel Diaz and immediately caught the attention of viewers by proclaiming herself as the "ultra Diva" and making it her mission to exile all "ugly" people from NXT.
The gimmick was too similar to that of The Beautiful People in TNA, but if anyone was willing to make it work, it was the second-generation star. However, her momentum was cut short when she asked for and was granted her release from the promotion in the fall. She re-signed with NXT in September 2013 but never returned to TV before her second release the subsequent spring.
She later cited an eating disorder as the reason why her NXT tenure didn't pan out, but at the age of 25, there is no reason she can't be brought back in the future, especially given that she is currently married to WWE Superstar Aiden English.
