10 Observations From WWE Live In London 2016
5. Interesting Merchandise Selection
You would think that with WWE now split once again into two separate touring brands, that the merchandise WWE offers at brand-specific live events would reflect that. Of course if you thought that, you'd be wrong.
Selling the merch of performers not present at the actual event is not a new phenomenon by any means, but it seems just a little bit more odd when you consider the agenda they're trying to push these days.
At WWE Live in London, for example, there were no Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn shirts on sale, even though they made up two thirds of the main event. There were, naturally, plenty of John Cena or Triple H shirts to choose from, even though one is a Smackdown talent and one is a non-wrestler who only just returned from a long hiatus a week or so ago.
Yes there were New Day and Roman Reigns tees, but what about some of the other stars? I'm fairly sure many in attendance would have wanted to purchase an Owens or Sasha Banks t-shirt but no such luck.
In another funny merch-related note, Jojo had the unfortunate task of trying to flog signed Roman Reigns pictures in the ring before intermission. You can probably guess how that went for her...
