10 Predictions For Erick Rowan's WWE Future

2. Will Be Given A Love Interest To Humanise Him

The man behind the Erick Rowan character, Joseph Ruud, can trace family roots back to Norway. Generations ago, his ancestors emigrated to the United States, and Ruud was born in Minnesota. Growing up, he played American Football, before breaking into the pro wrestling business. In real life, the man has a wife and two children. That side of him could be explored on WWE television, something which would give him more of a human touch. During his WWE tenure to date, Rowan has been portrayed as a strange figure, not someone who simply wrestles to provide for his family back home. If his family life is explained and explored, that would change rapidly. If WWE don't want to pull the curtain back on his real life, or if Ruud himself doesn't feel comfortable with it, he could be given a love interest on-screen. When Kane was humanised by his relationship with Tori in the late-90's, it was a break out moment. That same evolution could be gifted to Erick Rowan, and there are several ways to go about it.
