1. CM Punk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OfSR68tEzs There is not a single person who could return to the WWE right now and evoke a louder or more emotional response from the fans in attendance than CM Punk. Say what you will about the man and what you think about how he left the company or the person he is, but CM Punk the character is special, and the fans miss his presence. As much as fans love The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Daniel Bryan or Sting, etc. the fans do not chant their name incessantly when theyre not even there. Its not everybody, but it is a vocal group that still believe in him, his character, his message, and most importantly his impact on the business. Lets first analyze why people chant his name even though he walked out of the company in January. Its because many people agree with his decision to do so. The company was squandering his gifts and the company was moving in a direction (Batista vs. Orton at WMXXX) that nobody wanted to see. Rather than continue to be unhappy, Punk left. Something many wish they could afford to do when it comes to working at a job theyve grown to dislike. This principal is one of the biggest reasons why his pop will be bonkers if he should ever return. He left because he was unhappy, and if he comes back, it means that he went to war with the WWE as a company and won. He saw something he didnt like, he left on principal, and returned, which would mean something had to have changed for the better in many peoples minds. Would this necessarily be true? No, but people will believe it. At the end of the day, fans miss Punk. Hes been gone a long time, the way he left was tragic in the sense that well never get closure on the character, and nobody expects to ever see him in a WWE ring ever again. Hes burned the bridge and there is no coming back. CM Punk returning would be perceived as nothing short of a miracle. No one would expect it, but when Cult of Personality hit, the crowd would become absolutely unglued. Does he deserve such a pop? Thats arguable, but its inarguable that if he returned next week on Raw, hed get a bigger pop than anybody.
