10 Pushes That WWE Ruined In 2022

9. Johnny Gargano

Why did Triple H re-sign Johnny Gargano? No, seriously. Was it to stop 'Johnny Wrestling' from hitching his wagon to Tony Khan's AEW, or did 'The Game' reckon he could give Gargano the run he deserves on WWE's main roster? If it's the latter, then he really hasn't - not yet, at least.

Johnny's return has been limp.

There's an argument to be made here that WWE ruined Gargano's push potential before it had even really started. He received a killer reaction on the 22 August Raw, interacted with old NXT pal Austin Theory, then started drifting aimlessly towards one of the year's least-thrilling storylines involving The Miz and Dexter Lumis.

In-ring, Gargano has shone a little brighter, but the losses are starting to mount up after early wins over Chad Gable and Theory. Currently, Johnny is on a three-match losing streak (vs. Baron Corbin, Miz and Omos), and his latest bout (Omos) lasted just three minutes.

Things do not look great already.
