10 Reasons John Cena Will Be Missed At WrestleMania
8. A Marquee Match
John Cena is a name. It doesn't matter if you hate him or love him; he is someone you want to watch. Something which WWE truly lacks at the moment. I don't care how much you adore AJ Styles, when it comes to brand recognition, he is not on Cena's level. The guy is a star and that's, obviously, very important. Because at WrestleMania, particularly this WrestleMania, which WWE is determined to make the biggest in history, they need stars. The talent that people want to watch and whom the world will talk about. We all love Kevin Owens because he is brilliant, but whether he wins or loses doesn't matter to the mainstream. What John Cena does on the show, will matter to substantially more people. If he has a high-profile moment at WrestleMania, then ESPN and co will care and while that might not matter to the hardcore fans, it is what sells the show to the casuals. No Cena means that the Smith family down the street, who only watch one wrestling show a year, might not bother this year.
