10 Reasons Shane McMahon Vs The Undertaker Is A Mistake

3. Panic Booking

With reports stating that The Undertaker versus Shane McMahon was only booked in the last few weeks, that tells you all you need to know about how much thought has actually gone into this match. It is a short sighted booking, basically amounting to glorified filler when nothing better was available. Vince called his son, who of course wasn't going to turn down such a prestigious opportunity. In fairness, it wasn't like there were a whole lot of choices, with the injury crisis and other big names booked elsewhere on the card. But panic booking is rarely a good idea, and it feels like WWE just ended up throwing together a gimmick opponent and a gimmick match for the deadman. Booking for the sake of booking is lame. It may even have been a better idea for Taker to sit out this year and wait for Cena at WrestleMania 33.
