In hindsight, the card for Roadblock doesn't stand out as anything special from the bounteous number of WWE shows each year (WWE World Heavyweight Championship match aside). However, every single one of the seven matches was filled to the brim with twists, drama, close calls and, most importantly, exquisite wrestling. Some of the matches may not have seemed to serve any real purpose - Sami Zayn vs Stardust, for example - but the execution certainly deserves a round of applause. WWE crowds are not shy when it comes to voicing their lack of interest in similar matches on Raw, but the action had been so captivating that the group of rebellious minority chanting for CM Punk, a chant often used to portray the WWE Universe's desire for better entertainment, were harshly booed and criticised online. Aside from that lone instance, the vocal live crowd was invested in each match. It's incredible what underappreciated wrestlers can do given 15 to 20 minutes to structure a back-and-forth bout.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
