During the actually rather good feud between Kofi Kingston & Randy Orton that was ultimately squashed, the two men headed into Survivor Series as captains of their own teams who competed in a traditional elimination tag team match. As Survivor Series matches often turn out, the lackeys were eliminated first, and captain Kingston was left in a handicap match situation when he was the last remaining participant on Team Kofi; going up against the two remaining Team Orton members, CM Punk & Randy Orton. Kofi endured several minutes of beating from Punk & Orton, both of whom had previously been World Champions at that point. As the match reached its conclusion, Punk tried a roll-up, but Kingston reversed it to eliminate him instead. Orton then immediately slid into the ring but was hit with Trouble in Paradise, allowing Kofi to get the pin. Kingston impressively managed to not only defeat two former World champs in a handicap situation, but did it in under 10 seconds. Sadly, things went a bit sour for Kofi after he messed up in a subseuquent singles match with Orton; and he never truly got to capitalize on his achievement.
