10 Ring Of Honor Stars That Can Make It Big In WWE

1. Kevin Steen

Kevin Steen There is nobody in Ring of Honor more ready to go to WWE right now than Kevin Steen. He is arguably the most popular wrestler on the ROH roster currently. Along with The Briscoes, AJ Styles and Chris Hero, he has the most experience of anybody on this list. His feuds with The Briscoes and El Generico are among the Top 10 in the history of the company. He can wrestle, he can brawl, or he can talk your ear off. Anything he does is entertaining. His body type, which once may have been a detriment to him getting signed in the past, is suddenly a non-issue now that Bray Wyatt is at the top of the card in WWE (and Steen has slimmed down considerably in the past couple months). But what Steen has over everybody else on this list is that he has formed the closest connection with the audience. He knows that moments, not moves, are what make great matches. During key points in his comebacks, he may unleash a primal scream to psyche himself up, which in turns makes the crowd come to its feet. That kind of storytelling is sorely needed in WWE these days. The one strike working against him is that his promos tend to be a little too laced with insider references (he insulted Chris Hero by saying €œOh no!€ at him, hinting at his past as Kassius Ohno in NXT) and verbal winks toward the audience, and the only people in the past couple years who have gotten away with doing that in WWE are Triple H and CM Punk. Steen won€™t be afforded that luxury if he gets signed. Of all the people who have the opportunity to be the next CM Punk or Daniel Bryan underdog success story in WWE, Kevin Steen has the best shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8XBJSLeIhU You have the opportunity to see all of these Ring of Honor wrestlers (and possible future WWE superstars) live on iPPV this Saturday, as Ring of Honor teams with New Japan Pro Wrestling to present Global Wars in Toronto. Next Saturday, they€™ll be back with War of the Worlds in New York City. Comment below or follow me on Twitter @PocketSeagull and let me know what you think of this list.
