9. Johnny Gargano And Candice LeRae To SmackDown
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae have been entertaining on NXT together. The husband and wife duo clearly love working with each other on-screen and despite the godawful heel turns that both went through in the first half of 2020, they've become a highlight of weekly TV. Now, it's time to say goodbye and move them onto new horizons.
For Candice, she has consistently failed to become the NXT Women's Champion in spite of her capabilities as a top star. She recently lost several excellent matches to Io Shirai and in spite of her WarGames victory, is unlikely to grasp onto the NXT Women's Championship for herself. Moving her to Smackdown where she could work with women like Bianca Belair and eventually challenge Sasha Banks would be truly excellent booking.
For Gargano, he's done it all in NXT, though he's not had a truly transcendent match in NXT since working with Adam Cole at TakeOver XXV. Moving him to SmackDown would be the way to revitalise his skills and give him a new collection of opponents to work with.
