On to their impending burial, MVP offered The Hurt Business’ services to management. In turn, this meant Bobbly Lashley and company were willing to do the dirty work and exterminate the Retribution infestation in exchange for rewards such as championship opportunities.

It wasn’t before long that the two groups started squaring off from week to week. The thing was, Retribution seldom won. So anytime they attempted to torment The Hurt Business or anyone else in WWE, they were much more annoying than actually threatening.

Retribution treated themselves as big dogs, when in reality, they were booked like the runts of the litter. If there was one upside from The Hurt Business demolishing the stable for weeks, it was that it gave more airtime to Lashley & Co and afforded fans a chance to see 'The Almighty' wrecking ninjas from the Foot Clan's B-Team on a regular basis.
