As 1996 came to a close, Bret Hart was still under the impression that the promotion's plan was to put the WWF Title back on Shawn Michaels at the 1997 Royal Rumble (held in HBK's home state of Texas), then Michaels would drop the belt to him at Wrestlemania XIII, returning the job Bret had done for Shawn the previous year. The very definition of a filler Pay-Per-View, In Your House 12: It's Time had originally been scheduled to be headlined by Vader, but the big powerhouse was injured, and therefore the show was main evented by Bret Hart vs. Sycho Sid for the top title. Joining to announce desk to provide guest commentary, Shawn Michaels was there to heat up both his impending match with Sid, and his ongoing feud with Bret Hart. Taking matters into his own hands, HBK declared Sid the "most expensive piece of luggage in the WWF", effectively saying that the Hitman was having a great degree of trouble carrying his opponent to a decent match. It's statements such as this that Michaels is referring to when he remarks that he was difficult to handle back in the mid-90's.
