10 Shocking Returns That Could Happen At WWE Night Of Champions

WWE needs a big return to get out of the current rut.

Theoretically, right now should be an exciting time for wrestling fans. WWE put all of its proverbial eggs in the Network basket, and the company is desperately trying to not only add subscribers, but retain those whose initial six-month subscriptions are slowly expiring. So in theory, WWE should be putting on blockbuster €œpay-per-views€ on its Network to entice fans to re-subscribe (or to subscribe in the first place). With Night of Champions just around the corner, the question is whether WWE will throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at fans. We already know we€™re getting a SummerSlam rematch between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, but what else could happen to draw in fans? One way that the company could create a buzz is to start bringing back some top names who have been absent from WWE programming in recent weeks, months or years. There are more than a handful of quality stars who could make their return to a WWE ring at Night of Champions, maybe not in a wrestling capacity, but in some form to get some interest piqued in the product. So, while acknowledging that it€™s highly unlikely we could see multiple shocking returns at NOC, who are some superstars who could make their way back, and how could they fit in?
