10 Silliest Foreign Objects In Wrestling History

2. Sledgehammer

When he sat down with Stone Cold Steve Austin for an interview in September last year, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts was able to articulate exquisitely why the Game’s choice of foreign object is just silly to the point of utter stupidity. In his own unique and homespun way Roberts stated, "There's no heat when you hit a guy with a damn sledgehammer. Number one, both of you have killed your damn characters. The son of a b**** gets up, if the son of a b**** can get up from a sledgehammer, folks, I can't fight him. S***, you've just killed your character. You just told the whole world you're a phony son of a b****."

A sledgehammer as a foreign object is nuts – legitimately. If you used a sledgehammer on a person, you would probably have to be a psychopath, partially at least. To bring it into wrestling as this thing that can merely knock them out for a bit, or even worse NOT knock them out for a bit, really means that there is no turning back on just how ridiculous the character and match are.

It’s the kind of silliness that just ruins the product. And there is basically no foreign object more ludicrous than this. Well except for one of course…
