10 Strangely Unique WWE Facts
1. Shawn Michaels Has Most WrestleMania Losses
Considering one of the man's nicknames is 'Mr. WrestleMania', it'd be easy to imagine that Shawn Michaels has experienced great success as the single largest event on the professional wrestling calendar. In many ways, he has, certainly from a critical standpoint - the body of work Michaels amassed at 'Mania during his in-ring career is amazing.
That said, HBK wasn't always the most successful at WrestleMania, losing far more matches than he would win. It's stunning to imagine that Shawn Michaels, one of wrestling's best ever performers, only won 6 out of 17 bouts on the grand event, meaning he lost on 11 different occasions.
If ever evidence was needed that wins aren't the end and be all in wrestling, Shawn Michaels is living proof. The man's matches against the likes of Razor Ramon ('Mania X), Steve Austin (XIV), Chris Jericho (XIX), Chris Benoit and Triple H (XX), Kurt Angle (21), Ric Flair (XXIV) and The Undertaker (XXVI and XXVII) live long in the memory, but the 'Show Stopper' lost many of these timeless classics, the only wins from that list coming against Jericho and Flair.
