Cutting his teeth as a wrestler in the Horseshoe Show Bar in Blackpool, Regal learned to become a wrestler on various spot shows, sometimes working up to five times per day. It was a tough gig, but one the guy relished, because it was the fastest way to learn, repeating something over and over, and being forced to adapt different matches for the same audiences. Whilst working in Blackpool, Regal noticed another young man trying to bed his way into the world of showbiz, by way of working a nightly Mystique show at the same venue. Now known as the host of the popular UK game show, The Chase, Bradley Walsh was someone the wrestler noticed as being just as keen as he was. It's always interesting when people who go on to become famous in their chosen fields come up through the same circles, and even though Walsh and Regal were never friends, it's possible that they shared a few conversations, or at the very least watched one another perform.
