10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE WrestleMania 34

9. Some Of The Matches Only Exist For Pay Day Purposes

Of the 13 matches announced for WrestleMania so far, eight of them have more than two participants. In other words, just five of the bouts will be singles matches. This is due to WWE's belief that every full-timer they can cram onto the card deserves that 'Mania-sized cheque a few months down the line.

Whilst totally understandable, and more than a little admirable when one thinks about it, it's also to the detriment of the show overall. For example, seeing Rusev pushed into the United States Title picture (just because the writers have nothing else for him to do) has encroached on the story Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode were already telling.

It's a similar story in the Raw/SmackDown Tag-Team and Intercontinental Title pictures, as well as in both Battle Royal matches WWE have planned. Some involved, like Braun Strowman, The New Day, Baron Corbin, Sasha Banks and Bayley, are only there so they didn't have to sit on the sidelines.
