10 Things That Must Happen In NXT In 2018

6. Utilise The British Talent

Will the near-mythical United Kingdom TV show ever actually comes to pass? The smart money would say no. Every couple of months WWE will make a little bit of noise about it coming in the future, only for that noise to swiftly be replaced by absolute silence as some of the best wrestlers in the world twiddle their thumbs (on WWE TV at least).

There is no shame in admitting something isn’t going to happen. Wrestlers like Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate could be humongous stars in WWE, so it seems ridiculous that the company isn’t willing to make them full-time members of the NXT roster. The UK guys have mostly interacted with each other so far, but fans are desperate to see Bate, Dunne, Seven and the rest go up against Aleister Black, Roderick Strong and the rest.

Unless WWE really is playing the ‘we have them so you can’t have them’ card, it really needs to use the British talent at its disposal in a far better way. Why would you sign someone as talented as Tyler Bate and not use him to his fullest potential?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
