8. He Started Out As An Amateur In 2014
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfwwOlsq9Tc Mickey Gall may have taken his first professional fight in November of 2015, with Dana White in attendance filming for his web series Looking For A Fight (which is basically White and some buddies going out to smaller, regional MMA shows looking for promising new fighters), but he has been active in the MMA scene a bit longer than that. Gall actually took his first fight back in February 2014, an amateur bout that he won via decision. He took a second amateur bout in 2015 in May, which he also won, before going pro in November. Why does his amateur status matter? Because though he will be talked about as being a 2-0 fighter (his pro debut plus his UFC debut win), he's really a 4-0 fighter when you get down to it, which means he has four times the experience CM Punk does in live fights. And that doesn't include sparring sessions in training.
