10 Things We Learned From Dark Side Of The Ring: WWE's Plane Ride From Hell

1. A Few Reported Stories Were Untouched

VICE's 'Plane Ride From Hell' retrospective was more in-depth than WWE's jovial look back, but it wasn't exhaustive. Several key stories, like Michael Hayes' ponytail drama, were given little house room, and others were totally missing from the feature.

For example, where was Kurt Angle's incredible scuffle with Vince McMahon? The olympian has spoken at length about this on his podcast, so it doesn't make sense that VICE's producers missed it out here. In fact, there's little McMahon involvement at all. One would believe Vince quietly sat at the front of the plane for the duration of the trip.

Angle's story says otherwise.

Even Mike Chioda (another talking head) wondered aloud what McMahon was up to whilst most of his roster wreaked havoc on helpless flight attendants and generally acted like complete morons. He must've missed the eye-popping visual of his boss jostling with a gold medal winner in the aisles.
