10. The Idea Was Born Out Of Russo's Distaste For JBL

'Brawl For All' would never have happened had Vince Russo not heard Bradshaw bragging.

The always-controversial WWF head writer admits he only thought of the idea after watching JBL brag to the entire locker room that he could beat their asses 'if this was real'. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in Russo's head, and he started to formulate a plan that'd put this dressing room bully in his place.

Russo thought Bradshaw needed taking down a peg or two, and says he "wanted to see him get his clock cleaned" on live TV in front of millions. It was a preposterous thought hatched by someone who could (by his own admission) never scrap with JBL for real. That's how 'Brawl For All' started.

Jim Cornette, who never needs a reason to rag on Russo, pointed out that wrestlers boast all the time and puff their chests out like alpha males. That, to him, was no reason to take the worked art of pro wrestling and turn it into a "fight between two drunks in a bar".
