10 Things We Learned From WWE Chronicle: Sasha Banks

1. The Boss & The Boss

Sasha Banks
WWE

A superb element of every single one of these Network specials, Sasha Banks' interaction with Vince McMahon ahead of her Raw return was a typically thrilling snapshot of Vince McMahon playing mentor as well as insane billionaire company owner.

This was particularly interesting considering the generation of wrestlers 'The Boss' belongs to. She'd opened up during a Sam Roberts interview many years ago about preferring to deal with Triple H dating back to their NXT days, but a confident and collected reconciliatory moment with Vince McMahon revealed a comfort level with the organisation she's developed through some particularly trying times.

His engagement - "it's so good to have you back" - had to be extremely gratifying. Sasha's status over the summer was up in the air, and whether The Chairman realised it or not, the sharks were smelling blood. Banks the wrestler and character is ultimately probably where she's best suited - if there was even any doubts remaining, this singular moment of support had to erase them.
