WWE Fastlane was little more than a dressed-up version of a very bad episode of Monday Night Raw. Yes, much of the scene was set for Wrestlemania, but in just how lackluster the manner was in how said scene was set, WWE dropped the ball numerous times, leading to a wholly underwhelming event. In this list though you'll read nothing about the final piece in the "lure The Undertaker back into the ring" plot bt Bray Wyatt. In actually not grappling at all on Sunday night he stole the show, his promo proclaiming that he was the "new face of fear" a shining highlight of a lowlight of an event. Great as well was Daniel Bryan doing what he could to give the final seal of approval to Roman Reigns. Reigns isn't Brock Lesnar, but he certainly proved himself to be tough and strong at Fastlane. However, in lacking Lesnar's physical charisma, he falls short in how WWE wishes to characterize his silent-but-violent presentation. Overall, from announcer and referee gaffes to incredibly slipshod mid-card booking (and more), it was an event that was far less than the sum of its undoubtedly talented parts. Can WWE right the ship for Wrestlemania. Judging from last night's event, that's absolutely in doubt.
