Forget sports entertainment, the majority of people who go to a WWE or NXT event want to see good, entertaining wrestling. As ever, NXT delivered the goods.

Throughout the 2-hour-plus runtime, every single match on the Takeover: Brooklyn card delivered. From the fun opening of Liger vs. Breeze came the Tag Title win for The Vaudevillains, which was in turn followed by a nice introduction to Apollo Crews and then a return to form for Samoa Joe. Then came the fantastic co-main events of Banks vs. Bayley and Balor vs. Owens.

Every match was enjoyable, was entertaining, and engulfed your attention. Added to that, in the Banks vs. Bayley match we were given a genuine contender for Match of the Year. Plus the Ladder Match for the NXT Championship was also an exceptional bout.

The NXT brand is so often what is right with professional wrestling, and the in-ring action of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn only further proved that.
