10 Things WWE Want You To Forget About 2015

Hogan, allegations of bullying, Nazis... it's been a very rough year for WWE.

WWE has had a difficult year, in much the same way that a skunk has a difficult smell. Ratings have slipped to their lowest in almost 20 years, former legends have become persona non gratas, there's a growing disconnect between fans and the superstars at the top of the card, and even Mick Foley is close to unsubscribing. Even Mickles! In WWE's defence they've had a dreadful run of luck this year. Injuries have plagued the company with Cesaro, Rusev, Tyson Kidd, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, Randy Orton, Sting, Nikki Bella, Jey Uso and more being forced to take significant time off, cutting down an already thin roster and often forcing the company to drastically change their plans at the last minute. In a parallel universe where none of these injuries happened, the company could be in much better shape. Furthermore, it's not exactly their fault that some of their legends, whom they rely on for so much nostalgia, assassinated their own public personas with an almost sniper accuracy. Hogan, Snuka, Billy Gunn - these guys added value to the company and their tarnished legacies only serve to further confirm in the minds of the general public that wrestling is a low form of entertainment for low people. None of the problems faced by WWE this year would be too much for the company to overcome individually, but taken together, like a man dying from a thousand paper cuts, they create an absolute annus horribilis (that's nowhere near as dirty as it reads) for Big Vince and his factory of grunting meatboys. By the time the clock strikes 12 on December 31st, the company would dearly like you to have forgotten all of these...
