10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About 2021

9. How Much They Bungled Karrion Kross

Has there been a bigger waste of potential in 2021 than Karrion Kross? Keith Lee would qualify, maybe, but Kross takes some beating. WWE called the then-NXT Champion up from the third brand in July, then jobbed him out to Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes upon his debut.

Fans scratched their heads as a Scarlett-less Karrion started dressing like some sort of bizarre amalgamation between Supper Shredder and Demolition a few weeks later. None of this clicked with the casual audience WWE likes to crow about on Monday nights - audiences in attendance live also ridiculed Kross for his new look and wondered who was ribbing him backstage.

Don't forget that WWE took NXT's top champ and turned him into a walking creative nightmare. All that presence Kross and Scarlett mastered at the CWC was bungled by stripping her away from him and trying to go 1980s Mad Max-lite with the intense big bastard.

Horrible. Just...horrible.
