Read any written report of the promotion's TV shows and you'll see criticism about the 50/50 way WWE often book their characters and matches. In McMahon-land, losses are redeemed for parity, and turns happen without true change. Case in point: Bayley's recent switch to the dark side.
After blasting Becky Lynch with a steel chair and wearing a sick, twisted smile on the 2 September Raw, Bayley... continued on as though nothing had happened. There wasn't much consequence for her actions, she still looked and acted exactly the same, and it was obvious WWE favoured the soft approach.
Balls to that.
By booking it this way, the company were telling fans that they weren't quite ready to present a different Bayley. They wanted to wait until the Draft sideshow was almost out of the way and SmackDown was on FOX instead. Why pull the trigger on a turn in September then?
