10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Dean Ambrose

8. 'Mitch' The Potted Plant

At least he had a championship title instead of a potted plant.

In 2016, WWE decided that Ambrose needed his own talk show segment to rival Miz TV, The Cutting Edge, The Highlight Reel and other assorted easy time-fillers. So, the 'Ambrose Asylum' was born, and the kicker would be that Dean didn't want an elaborate set like everyone else. All he had was a basic whiteboard with the show's name written on it and 'Mitch'.

Who was 'Mitch'? The aforementioned plant, obviously, and he even had his own little stool to sit up on for each segment. Then, Chris Jericho came along and broke the thing, causing Ambrose to go into a meltdown that made him look more nursery child than hardcore street fighter. Things snowballed from there.

'Mitch' was replaced and became part of the first ever Asylum match between Ambrose and Jericho at Extreme Rules 2016. Nobody stopped to think that a potted plant might dilute the barbarity somewhat when other weapons like a straitjacket and thumb tacks were involved.
