10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Hulk Hogan

Whilst true that the nWo reprise in 2002 ultimately failed, it'd be remiss not to recognise how awesome Hogan's match with The Rock was at WrestleMania X-8, or how much fans were basking in Hulkamania nostalgia when he won the Undisputed Title from Triple H at Backlash the next month. Yep, Hulk was hot again.

The next feud changed that slightly.

Against The Undertaker, Hogan looked less like wrestling's hottest ticket and more like an ageing star who was struggling to stave off niggling injuries and justify his position on top. Terrible segments involving motorcycles (when they decided to start) and a lacklustre match at Judgment Day gave further proof that the nostalgia kick was only ever going to be brief.

By the time 'Taker hoisted Hulk, who could barely jump, up in the air for his Chokeslam and took the belt from him, it was clear that Hogan didn't belong in the main event permanently. He was trying his best, sure, but this feud was one step too far.
