10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rikishi

4. He Briefly Wrestled For TNA

Just where has Rikishi been this last decade? Well, he's certainly been busy. Immediately after leaving the WWE, Fatu hit the independent circuit. He also wrestled in Japan for the barmy Hustle promotion and ran a company in Italy called Nu Wrestling Evolution, which featured the likes of Scott Steiner, Billy Gunn and even The Ultimate Warrior (who had his last match with the company). Rikishi, as Junior Fatu, also turned up in TNA for a brief spell in 2007. He wrestled for the company between September 13th and October 30th, doing pretty much nothing of note except for stinkfacing Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode. He looked very heavy and very slow and his matches looked really bad next to the excitement of the X-Division. He left the company after failing to get a pay rise. Whilst WWE doesn't see TNA as anything close to competition, they won't want their fans to see him slowly go through the motions in a minor promotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCNQ-ZJF1eI
