10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Bella Twins

4. They Turned Down WWE The First Time They Were Offered Jobs

The Bella Twins were signed by WWE in June 2007 and sent to developmental at that point. They also took part in the 2006 WWE Diva Search, but they didn't make the cut. That's actually surprising that they didn't make the cut, but it's true. What's also interesting is that the Bellas were trying to get modeling and acting jobs or years. They had an appearance on a NBC show called Meet My Folks and soon after that they went to a WWE diva casting call. They were offered jobs there, but they turned them down. The reason for them turning the jobs down was that they didn't want to relocate to Florida for WWE (developmental was in Tampa at the time). A few months later, WWE came calling again. It was the Bellas mother, Kathy Colace, that met with WWE even though she admittedly didn't know much about the wrestling business as she told the Arizona Republic. Once their mother suggested they should try out the WWE job, they signed with WWE and the rest is history. It just shows that WWE wasn't their first choice. They only went because they were unable to secure a permanent job in acting, so they signed with WWE when it was their best and perhaps only option. Of course WWE won't tell you that. They want fans to think that everybody wants to be in WWE.
