10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Dudley Boyz

Bonus: they're not really biological brothers.

Along with Goldberg, the Dudley Boyz are to be welcomed into the Hall of Fame at this year's ceremony in New Orleans.

A lot of fans now view this accomplishment as a hollow one, which probably has something to do with the fact that people like Donald Trump are among the ever-growing list of inductees*.

But, in the case of tag teams and stables, it really is pretty significant. Bubba Ray and D-Von will become only the 12th "group" to grace the Hall of Fame ranks on 6 April, joining the likes of The Fabulous Freebirds, The Rock 'n' Roll Express and, of course, The Four Horsemen.

Suffice it to say, there's no way you can be included on a list as prestigious as that unless you've done a hell of a lot for the wrestling business - just as there's no way you can do a hell of a lot for the wrestling business without one or two hiccups along the way....

*To be fair, though, he is one of the best heels of all-time. An pulled a whopper of a buy-rate.

10. Bubba's Stutter

Wrestling fans who didn't keep an eye on the Monday Night Wars' forgotten third company might be oblivious to the fact that Bubba underwent a slight name change after jumping from ECW to WWE.

It wasn't exactly significant: he just went from Buh Buh to Bubba, the former having been originally spelled this way because he used to speak with a stutter, a character trait he retained during his first few weeks on Monday Night Raw.

Then, suddenly, the company decided that he no longer had a stutter, and it was dropped without any explanation. Kind of like if Walter White suddenly stopped having lung cancer halfway through the first season of Breaking Bad.

It's still not really clear why this decision was taken either. If you were being charitable, you might offer that bosses were perhaps worried about offending people who had the condition in real-life - but that didn't stop Goldust from getting Tourette's a couple of years later.
