1. He Has No Idea Where His Career Is Headed

In multiple interviews, Ellsworth has revealed that he has no idea what (if anything) WWE has planned for him in his future. After his first night in, despite Vince's approval, he didn't know if he would ever be used again. Had it been a one and done affair, he'd have only remained an obscure memory for fans. In his subsequent appearances, though, he's at least received his 15 minutes of fame. But will there be more?

Right now, there’s no long-term plan for Ellsworth. There’s no arc being written for his character, there's no master plan being developed. He's only working on a week-to-week basis. He already had one planned appearance cancelled, but such is life in WWE, especially for those who aren't regulars. It’s a testament to his talent that the company keeps bringing him back in, but on the other hand, it has to be nerve-wracking knowing that his career with them could end at any time.

The overwhelming response online, and the fact that his t-shirt reached the top of sales of WWE.com certainly helps his case for further appearances. Eric Bischoff is of the mind that Ellsworth will likely land a contract in WWE, and we may all hope the best for him, but it's entirely up to Vince.
