10 Things You Didn't Know About ALL IN

4. Only One ALL IN 2018 Match Is An AEW Vs AEW Match In 2023

Though All In has often been considered the soft launch of All Elite Wrestling, it was in fact more proof-of-concept than pilot.

All that said, the long wait between the 2018 show’s inception and Kenny Omega’s specific involvement getting confirmed mirrors to an alarming degree the state of play in 2023, with the one major difference looking likely to be that Omega stood alone then compared to alongside trios partners now.

His aforementioned hilarious reaction on Being The Elite that, post-G1 Climax hell, he’d have to face “that hardcore guy from TNA” Pentagon was priceless, but AEW fans in 2023 would likely share similar shock if the same match were booked today due to how…standard it would feel.

The two have shared the roster and the ring since AEW’s 2019 launch as company full-timers, but it’s the singular case of that occurring from the original event. Then booked as yet another clashing of wresting worlds (Penta wasn’t a “hardcore guy from TNA” really, but a match against IWGP Champion Kenny Omega wasn’t terribly likely in NJPW), this was dream match stuff before All Elite Wrestling became the dream match factory.
