10 Things You Didn't Know About Rick Rude

Find out which WWE Hall Of Famer Rude hated having as his manager...

To this day, pro wrestling fans still regard Rick Rude as one of the greatest performers never to be WWE Champion. Making his debut way back in the early-1980's, Rude initially started as a clean cut babyface. It wasn't until the man gained significant muscle mass and created the 'Ravishing' character that he really started to gain momentum. The arrogant, egotistical heel persona was perfect, and helped steer Rick to the then-World Wrestling Federation in 1987. It was there that the man had his most success, certainly from a critical standpoint. Even though Rude had held titles in the NWA and other territories, his work in the WWF is what many fans remember most fondly. Holding the Intercontinental Title on one occasion was his only title win in the company. Flirting with the main event scene, Rick Rude would never get to carry the biggest prize the WWF had to offer. Later runs in WCW and ECW would show Rude to be a shadow of his former self. Injuries had started to mount up, robbing the man of his previously superb in-ring talents. To date, 'Ravishing' Rick Rude hasn't been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. This has bee a constant source of frustration for his supporters over the years, but this article focuses on other facts about the man wrestling fans may not know...
