In the same interview, Ryback came out with an even more ambitious wish. Not only did he desperately want to face Goldberg, he also had his eye on the Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak. Around the time of 'Mania 29, rumours circulated about the possibility of a match between the two, pitting Reeves' undefeated run under the Ryback persona against the Deadman's (slightly more important) streak. These plans never came to fruition; Undertaker went on to defeat CM Punk in a match of the year candidate, while Ryback was forced to put over Mark Henry in the second match on the card. It turns out that the Human Wrecking Ball was fully behind the idea of not only facing the Phenom, but defeating him - an ambition many may view as slightly ludicrous, given his status as a relative newcomer to the main roster. He stated 'Right now, if The Undertaker is the greatest thing WrestleMania has to offer, I want that. I want that guy. I know I belong in the ring there with him, and I know what my career is going to be when it's all said and done.' Of course, Ryback will now never get a chance to break the streak, and the opportunity of facing the Deadman at WrestleMania looks to be rapidly waning along with Taker's legendary career. He'll probably be limited to marquee matches against fellow veterans - potentially Sting or Kane - shutting the door on Ryback's chances. Then again, as the old saying goes, anything can happen in the WWE.
