10 Things You Might Have Missed At WWE Roadblock

1. Bad Officiating, Bad Acting

Dean Ambrose took the fight to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H in a very good main event, finally hitting the champ with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose hooked Triple H's leg, covered him, then scored the pin... only for the referee to immediately wave the victory off. According to the official, Ambrose's own foot was under the rope when he made the cover, nullifying the pinfall. The crowd chanted "Bullsh*t!" and sure enough, Triple H soon scored the win. The finish was fraught with problems (nobody really looked good, it telegraphed HHH's victory, and it left fans feeling cheated), but one of the main ones was that it simply wasn't executed well. The referee was looking at Ambrose's feet as he made the count, giving him sufficient reasoning to claim the cover was no good, but not explaining why he continued to make the count all the way to three. In fact, had the referee actually stopped after two, then told Ambrose he was under the rope, the flow of the match probably would have been broken up less awkwardly. WWE was clearly attempting to deliver a "Holy Sh*t" moment with Ambrose seemingly winning the belt, but it wasn't worth it. This wasn't the first time they've done it with Ambrose, and the constant punking of the company's most over babyface does no one any favors.
