10 Things You Need To Know About Bad News Barrett

10. Has A Degree In Marine Biology And Worked In Recruitment

Despite his tough guy WWE persona, Stu Bennett's career could have followed a very different path at one point. Having attended the University of Liverpool from 1999 to 2002, Bennett graduated with a degree in Marine Biology and eventually ended up working in a lab. Wade Barrett's hard-hitting, brawling in-ring style is far from scientific, and likewise his time in a lab didn't last all that long. Switching his attention elsewhere, Bennett moved from the lab to the company's high-end recruitment side. Now recruitment is a cut-throat environment at the best of times, so you'd have to think that his time there would give him an insight into the political, dog-eat-dog world of wrestling that lay ahead of him. It was also during his time in recruitment that the future Wade Barrett began to seriously start his wrestling training. And let's face it, if Bad News Barrett and his bull hammer were "suggesting" you make a certain recruitment deal, chances are you'd agree with the Preston native.
