It's often fascinating to stop and think that Kane was only supposed to be a short-lived character in the WWF, especially when taking into consideration the gimmick's longevity and continued presence on WWE television.

Like some sort of wrestling version of Halloween's Michael Myers, the nightmarish sibling of The Undertaker took his bow at In Your House: Badd Blood in October, 1997 and was immediately thrust into a top rivalry against his storyline brother; literally ripping the Cell's door off, Kane then smashed 'Taker with a Tombstone and allowed Shawn Michaels to pick up the win.

The original Hell In A Cell match would be worth watching even without the interruption of Kane, but it's immensely satisfying to see the genesis of the character. Back in '97, the sheer presence of Kane was terrifying, and that is captured perfectly by this timeless moment every wrestling fan must see.

Kane's debut is one of the best ever, and it happened at Bad(d) Blood.
