Nobody had made Brock look believably mortal until the Samoan Submission Machine set his eyes on the Beast's prized Universal Championship.
(No, Goldberg doesn't count. Goldberg-Lesnar Redux was entertaining, but made the rest of the roster look like chumps.)
Samoa Joe, on the other hand, not only elevated himself during the short feud, but brought out both vulnerability in Lesnar and a hunger in Brock to prove himself the better man.
Between a pre-match beatdown (and announce table spot) and three Coquina Clutches, Samoa Joe went Joe-to-toe with the Beast, eventually succumbing to an F5 and tasting defeat.
