10 Times The Undertaker Genuinely Defied Expectations In WWE

3. A Sequel For The Ages - Hell In A Cell 2015

The Hell In A Cell match between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar at the eponymous PPV in 2015 was a sequel on many fronts. A direct follow-up to the pair's cracking SummerSlam shootout, it was also the second time that these two warriors clashed in this exact environment at this time of year as it was a rematch of their bloody encounter 13 years prior.

That's a lot of pressure - especially when you consider 'Taker's recent injuries and the fact that neither of them were the full-time performers they were back in 2002 - but the two monsters managed to pull off a miracle.

Not only did they provide another great match full of that in-ring chemistry they had over a decade beforehand - proving that their WrestleMania dud was little more than an unfortunate blip - they single-handedly managed to remind us why we fell in love with the Hell In A Cell concept in the first place (at the very event responsible for diluting it).

A barbaric, violent and hard-to-watch fight, they tore each other apart within the confines of the Devil's Playground, offering up an excellent conclusion to their historic feud. And 'Taker, as the aging gunslinger, looked more dominant than he had in years.

They surprised us at SummerSlam. But here, they blew us all away.
