10 Times Triple H Proved He's WWE's Biggest Babyface
The Cerebral Assassin isn't the bad guy the internet makes him out to be.
Up until relatively recently Triple H had a pretty terrible reputation amongst members of the internet wrestling community. He abused his power, he held people down, he was selfish etc. Some have even insinuated that he married Stephanie McMahon just so he could climb the wrestling ladder. Triple H dominated main events from his quad tear comeback in January 2002 until...well, he was never really out of main events until he became semi-retired. Was he always WWE Champion and in the last match of the card? No, but more often than not he was. And that bred resentment. He was politicking, they said. He held down talented workers like Rob Van Dam, Booker T and Chris Jericho. He took all of the money for him and his friends like Batista and Randy Orton. Was this true? Some of it, maybe. But the allegations were grossly exaggerated. Triple H's reputation has softened in recent years as he has stepped away from the ring. He's still a fixture on WWE television (and some still cry out that he's burying talent in that role, too), but now his main duties lie backstage. He has also recently shown a more softer side now that he doesn't have to play a badass heel on TV every week, proving that in real life, Triple H is just a huge babyface.
