10 Times WWE Embarrassed Their Own Stars
7. DDP

WCW stalwart Diamond Dallas Page, famously a late bloomer in the industry, knew that although he could happily sit out his extant contract when the Atlanta promotion bit the dust in 2001, the opportunity to work - and crucially, potentially make even more money - from the only team in town was one he simply couldn't shirk.
Realigning allegiances with Stamford required an initial investment; Page had to buy out his own TimeWarner contract to make the move north. How did his new employers reward him for his enthusiasm? By presenting an actual star from the rival organisation as a genuine threat in their stuttering invasion? Or by profiting from his legitimate popularity to make him into another babyface hero?
Of course not. He was from the enemy camp, and needed to be swiftly taught his place. DDP was transformed from a positive man of the people to a creepy stalker, preying on the wife of WWE's biggest, baddest dad, The Undertaker. As part of the angle, Sara Undertaker - that's honestly what they called her - competed in her one and only wrestling match, in which she pinned the three time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. It's no wonder DDP took up yoga to help calm his presumably furious mind.
