10 Times WWE Stars Went Viral For Totally STUPID Reasons
1. Roman Reigns Catches The Mic
The chemistry between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2022 was electric. Where had it been for the last decade?
When the Tribal Chief and the Beast Incarnate faced-off one last time, with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on the line, Brock made his way to the ring on a tractor. As Roman waited in the ring, the Cowboy climbed to the top of the vehicle and stared down at his opponent.
Once he'd announced himself, he nonchalantly threw his microphone towards Reigns. Except it was accidentally the perfect throw. Roman casually opened his hand and the mic slipped in. A cheeky wink to Brock cemented this moment.
It was Triple H's first pay-per-view in charge; fans were already sold because of a microphone being thrown. It was perfect.
The match saw Brock lift the ring up, Austin Theory try to cash-in Money in the Bank, and Paul Heyman put through the announcer's desk... but what does everybody still talk about to this day?
You guessed it, that damn microphone.
It won over detractors of both wrestlers. Those that weren't sold on the Tribal Chief suddenly realised he was the complete package. Anybody who thought the Beast Incarnate wasn't the best at putting over new stars saw what he could do for opponents. It was all there, but it was just three seconds where all that happened was a piece of audio equipment changed hands.
You'll still see the clip shared on social media, often with both wrestlers being called the goat. Let's just emphasise one more time that it was a microphone being thrown from one man to another! Absolutely wonderful stuff.
Wrestling, folks.
