10 Times WWE Stars Went Viral For Totally STUPID Reasons
4. Titus Worldslide
This one is much more fun, once you get past the venue.
WWE held the first ever Greatest Royal Rumble at King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2018.
As you can guess from the name, the event was centred around a 50-man Royal Rumble match for a green title belt that we'd never see again. To fill out the match, WWE called in legends from the past, wrestlers from the present, and stars of the future for what became one of its longest contests in history.
You'd be forgiven for forgetting most of what happened... except one thing: Titus O'Neil's entrance.
As he sprinted down the ramp, aiming to slide into the ring, he miscalculated his speed and positioning. Instead of gracefully sliding into the squared circle, he slipped and found himself underneath the ring. The camera was right on him so there was no escaping what had happened, especially because Michael Cole lost it on commentary. Titus dusted himself off and got in the ring, but the damage was done.
O'Neil himself took the incident in stride. He joined in the laughter, acknowledged the mishap on social media, and even incorporated it into his ring entrances. He embraced the nickname Titus Worldslide and released merchandise capitalising on the viral moment. What a guy.
This is a silly moment, but it shouldn't be why most people know who Titus is; his charitable work as an ambassador for WWE is far more important than a slip on the way to the ring.
